Galeries Lafayette , in favor of more responsible fashion !
Since 2018, the Galeries Lafayette group has implemented the GO FOR GOOD movement to offer more responsible fashion to its customers and succeed in gradually changing consumption, production and distribution patterns.
The objective is to offer products design and stylish but also which make sense towards a more responsible approach .
The articles are selected according to three major criteria , the preservation of the environment , social development and local production, which include 38 very specific sub-criteria such as the choice of materials or even the social and environmental impact such as the fight against poverty, exclusion or social development.
More than 300 brands are part of the initiative, with more than 12,000 products in fashion, beauty or home.
The project has also launched an initiative for young creators in collaboration with ulule , an online kitty platform, the idea is to encourage and support young responsible creators to develop.
All Melissa products are part of the "Go for good" range of Galeries Lafayette on the site and in store.
The products have been selected in particular for their raw material , 100% recyclable MELFLEX patented plastic and also because they are eco-labeled products.
This plastic makes it possible to avoid taking raw material for a single use and to transform waste into resources in order to move towards a more circular economy .
The models are intended to, once their use is considered finished, be completely destroyed and then transformed back into new materials.
Melissa products are designed to be durable and reused many times over.
Indeed, all Melissa products are made from 30% recycled materials and up to 50% for the collaboration with Rombaut .
